Make Hexagonal Molded Leather Trays With Katherine Pogson

Katherine Pogson

Learn the art of leather molding through the creation of FOUR hexagonal vide-poches (more commonly known as desk or dressing table tidies) with Katherine Pogson's Make Hexagonal Molded Leather Trays kit. Katherine is a London-based designer and artist with a passion for leather. She has graciously shared her knowledge and skill in this first leather-based CoLab.

Katherine chose the leather for this tidy not only because of its soft natural color, but also because it is vegetable tanned and 100% European in origin. It is easy to work with and will age beautifully.

The tools required are simple: leather, water, a mold and some elbow grease and Katherine's instructions demystify the art by guiding you through the process step-by-step.

The kit includes all supplies to make 4 nesting tidies:
- Four pieces of vegetable tanned russet shoulder leather from Belgium
- 5" pointed bone folder
- Two sizes of plywood hexagon former
- Plywood base board
- Hand-stitched, 24 page instruction manual written by Katherine

You will also need a staple gun, staples, a metal ruler and a craft knife.
