Gros Bis is a multi-purpose, waxed linen string ideal for DIY, gardening, book binding and jewellery making. Being completely un-dyed, it is perfectly hygienic and is traditionally used to tie up roasts prior to cooking! The waxing, which makes the string smoother, consists of a 100% natural starch bath to which bee's wax is added.
