Alumina Hydrate Light is a light powder that can be ground in oils and becomes almost colorless and transparent. It is an extender and has high absorbent characteristics. It provides brushing consistency and stability in tube colors. When combined with linseed oil it produces an almost transparent painting medium which may be used to extend oil colors. It will not increase gloss.
