Terrazzo Pendant Earrings
31 December 2013
Striking earrings with a nod to the 80s Italian design group, Memphis. These are so easy to make, incorporating our vintage terrazzo-style solid resin pendants.
YOU'LL NEED:
- Black vintage earring findings
- Vintage terrazzo danglers
- Black C-Lon beading cord
- Yellow ribbon
- Adhesive (super glue or similar)
- Scissors
Step One
Take around 10" (25cm) of beading cord and knot it twice on to the bottom of the black earring.
Step Two
Thread the cord through the metal hoop on the terrazzo dangler, front to back. Knot it twice at the back.
Step Three
For extra strength, knot the thread twice more at the front and twice more at the back. Trim off the excess, leaving just a couple of mm on the knots.
Step Four
Take 4" (10cm) of yellow ribbon and wrap it around the top of the terrazzo dangler, covering the beading thread. It should cross over at the back, forming a cone-like cap.
Step Five
Secure the yellow ribbon with superglue or any other strong, clear, quick drying adhesive.
Step Six
Trim off excess yellow ribbon and you're done.
