The Saturday Market Project is a curated marketplace for exceptional materials, tools and technology.
We are a group of people who believe that there has to be a better way to help independent businesses thrive while staying true to their roots and to help people easily find the hobby, DIY and craft supplies they need while being inspired to try something new.
Roles and Skills
We are growing rapidly and need several more committed and talented team members to help lead the growth of our marketplace, purchasing and partnering activities. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in sales and business development, sourcing and / or logistics. Experience in the design / applied arts fields is preferred but not required.
The team will work together to find and support new businesses interesting in working with SMP in one of our three interconnected services - a marketplace for high quality supplies, warehousing and order fulfillment, and sourcing for content creators. They will also work closely with our international design team in support of new product and partnership development.
At SMP, we take an interdisciplinary approach to the concept of making and enjoy experimenting. We believe there is an enormous opportunity for innovation in our field and we're looking for like-minded people to join us.
Compensation package will be based on experience and could include equity. A part-time position may also be negotiable.
Location - Ideally Washington, DC or London. Remote working arrangements could be considered for the right candidate.
